As I was getting ready for work this morning:
Genna: “Mommy, is today your birthday?”
Me: “No.”
Genna: “Is it Christmas?”
Me: “No honey, it’s a long time until Christmas.”
Genna: “Is it Father’s Day?”
Me: “No, we just had Father’s Day, remember?”
Genna: “Mommy, are we having a party today?”
Me: “No baby, today’s just a normal day.”
Genna: “Oh.” (sad puppy dog face)
